Adelaide's much-loved series of lunchtime concerts returns to Elder Hall at the University of Adelaide this month - and one of Adelaide's `favourite daughters' is returning to help launch the season.

Music greats named Distinguished Alumni
A husband and wife team are the latest University of Adelaide Distinguished Alumni. Beryl Kimber OBE and Clemens Leske AM were presented with the Distinguished Alumni Awards in recognition of their outstanding careers and contribution to music and the Elder Conservatorium.

About the Conservatorium

The Elder Conservatorium of Music is recognised internationally as a specialist music institution. It provides a comprehensive range of music programs from pre-degree Certificates and Diplomas, through several Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees, to Doctorates.

The Elder Conservatorium has the longest history of any music school in Australia, stretching back 125 years. It has numbered many of Australia’s most renowned musicians among its staff and alumni. Located in the centre of the city on North Terrace – Adelaide’s cultural boulevard – the Conservatorium is a vital part of the life of Adelaide, a city celebrated for its rich and diverse artistic tradition.
